    Hi folks,
just stumbled over an offer on the internet.
It´s called Ibanez "Les Paul" Standard.
    Without serial number.
But look at the logo! Was this common in the early days? looks like it is a sticker on the headstock.

    Thank you!
Regarding this, I think that the guitar is a fake.

A fake of a fake? Might want to still check it out. Some early Ibanez Les Paul 'fakes' are not so good as they had a thin laiminat top. You can tap on it and it is hollow. Maybe that guitar has a full solid top?

In the "Les Paul" secton of the 1976 Ibanez catalog, note and compare:

"No. 2651: Carved curly maple top...."

"No. 2386: Arched curly maple top..."

Anyway, with respect to the headstock shown. Not all early Ibanez have a serial number. The headstock shape matches a 1976 Ibanez. Not sure why anyone would make an exact replica of a $500 guitar. It looks like an Ibanez to me.

Looks like someone has removed the "Super 70s" pickups and replaced with Dimarzio super distortion with coil tap.

Tap on the top and see if it is hollow. Is it a bolt-on or glued neck? Ibanez made both.

I would guess that any value to this guitar is in the pickups.

Unfortunately, fake vintage Ibanez decals are easily available to purchase.

You need to be extra careful when purchasing so called 'Law Suit' vintage Ibanez.

    See fake decals below:

    OK. Thank you all!
I just thought these "old" guitars where valuable. They are probably not, this one definitely not.
