It sounds great and you have a control over your playing that I enjoy hearing. Always nice to see clips of people working.

JZ you really are one of the greats.

thanks, we actually do some pop music on the gig. Beatles, earth wind and fire. Doesn't seem to matter because that music is way before many of the crowd were born, lol.

The brutal march of time. If you compare now to say, the 80s(when classic rock radio was invented). Guns and Roses would be too old and corny to listen to(40 years old), White Stripes would be oldies(20 years old), and classic rock would be... (googles top 100 rock songs from 2014) some band called Arctic Monkeys.

A cool thing about jazz is you can be shredding the music in a very relaxed setting. You seemed to be doing that here sir.

i've been alternating guitars on this gig. my favorite is the PM-120. For some reason it sounds better on this gig than my L4, BK, 175 or GB10. I'm considering bringing my yamaha SA2200 because it imparts a little bit more modern vibe which might be nice as a change of pace. Or perhaps my tele...

Nice to see you in the wild. Hope you are getting plenty of gigs, as long as you enjoy them that is.

For me the gigs just get better an better here in Portland. Audience seems really engaged most of the time, even restaurant/cocktail gigs. Feeling good about that.

I’ve always found Sweden to have a great jazz scene. Lots of young people really into it and bands from all over scandi, end up in stockholm.
If you can find the time to get out to Sweden and put a band together, you'd have a great time. Some of the best drummers and bass players I’ve heard, were 30 somethings in stockholm.

This is great stuff. How I like a bass guitar duo to sound.

Hate to get gear nerdy, but the Kessel sounds fantastic...I know you've been using a few different amps, what are you using here?
