I built this guitar a few years ago when I was my Ed Bickert phase. The soldering and pickup installation was done at Midwood Guitar Studio in Charlotte. Guitar was also setup there.
The neck is a warmoth custom neck and cost about $600 alone. The body is a Fender Road Worn Telecaster Nitro and was purchased for $400. The neck pickup is a Lollar Imperial costing about $200. Hardware is upgraded as well, with Schaller M6 locking tuners which retail for $140. Altogether, this guitar is worth over $1,500. The only recommendation I would make is to switch out the bridge pickup to something more substantial, I didnt out anything too expensive in because I only used the neck pickup. Looks like a great deal for someone! Two questions… is the Lollar a normal-wind or a low-wind? and… do you have the tip for pickup switch? Thanks and best of luck with the sale!
I’ll throw in a KA HPAC pickup which was left over from a Comins GCS-16 I own, if anyone is concerned the lollar is too hot (i don’t find it hot at all but I generally play with a very soft attack)
This is a great deal just for the parts, let alone what is probably a very cool jazz Telecaster. Particularly if any of you guys live close enough to the seller to avoid shipping costs. Opportunity knocks.....

You should post a another price that is all inclusive and also post pictures of the back. A Flamed neck needs to be shown!
Les Pauls have ABR bridges with a less steep back angle than Fenders. They are really not too far off from trapeze bridges in a way. But are you saying that if you installed a trapeze tailpiece on a...
You can't beat a good Ibanez neck.
You cannot beat the playability of a good Ibanez.
Only Westerley Guilds can compete.
Jack get a maple Westerly SF2 and throw some flats on it.
Agreed but whether an ‘electric’ guitar has the strings pulling on the top or pushing down on the top, is a greater fundamental difference, regarding amplified sound.
Yes. I have gotten a few sub $100 guitars that were pretty decent after working on them for a while. The conn c200 I use on the sort of jazz sounding song at the top of the composition section now....

I like everything about this build. I really dig the more open, bigger Florentine cut for some reason. (as compared to the circular 175 type). I'm more of a Venetian guy, but this looks right to me....
I'm not familiar with MuseScore, can't it export the score to pdf? That's a basic function for music notation apps, I wouldn't use one that doesn't have it.
The main difference in sound between jazz guitars and solid wood guitars, comes from the difference in the way they are fundamentally designed. Not whether they are solid or hollow.
Hollow bodies...
Ah, so you've been watching Good Will auctions for a long time now! I just discovered the website about 2 months ago. I'm guessing the average bids are much higher now than in the past? I've seen...
Did anyone notice how physically static the OP is in the clips? Holding, as opposed to hugging (mauling in my case) the guitar is maybe more classical school, which is fine as a plan for arrangements...
