Hey all,
What do you use to warm up?
I just wrote this short warm up. Start slow then speed it up so it's longer than the 10 seconds on the video.

Spot of Bach atm. It varies.
-
I usually start the morning with 45 minutes of classical or fingerstyle, some exercises and some pieces, mostly the picking hand in the beginning.
-
Run a few random scales, or not.
I like to play something easy at the beginning of a gig so I can acclimate to the sound of the room and the guitar.
Basically, the goal is to get relaxed.

I start everyday with the Segovia scales (usually on my Gypsy guitar, but sometimes classical). I use them as kind of a dojo of sorts. If I have having trouble with a triplet pattern or something, I can use a scale and the metronome to hone in on the problem. I will also then run through several Django solos and then work on comping. After that, it's practicing whatever new I have going. Other than the Django stuff I primarily play, I also take classical lessons and I will work through the repertoire I know there and jump into the new piece(s).
