After food and meds I like to light some good Indian incense and check CNN then turn on Music Choice Jazz Channel and just use a little verb and delay. Of course Lexi likes to start her her day with Beggin Strips Thrown not handed to.

Do guitar players ever get tired of talking about pedals?
I used to use a big board in my band/session days, but have not graduated to a simpler board with a strobe tuner, two light OD's (King of Tone and Timmy, which can be stacked for more saturated sounds, may replace the Timmy with a Klon style pedal), an old Ibanez AD9 analog delay, and a new Analog Man modified Boss GE7.
For jazz I have the GE7 set for increased midrange to fill in a Fender style amp. Very useful for fine tuning and zeroes in on frequencies much better than the amp EQ. Again for jazz I sometimes use the clean boost on the KOT, it fills in the sound and gives a slight bit of hair when you dig in, almost like an old '50's jazz guitar recording. Julian Lage often uses a Morning Glory, very similar pedal, for the same purpose.
Then tremolo and reverb on the amp and I'm good to go.
