Im sure harmonics goes back to early guitar invention but Lenny might have first heard them on early Chet Atkins recordings.

Yes harmonics are in guitar literature way back. Which I forgot about when I first answered.
So please if any of you know the guitar faculty at Peabody geez Louise don’t tell them that I blew it!

i could be wrong. There are some some single note bings at the end of a ballad or two in ‘55, not full solos.
My memory is a bit hazy on that timeframe, i was a 1952 issue)

Had to feed my inner Tal. Here's a happy tune ... Through my Polytone.

Maybe the best tone I've ever heard from a Polytone. You got that thing DIALED IN.
Great playing as always.
-
Thunk city! Great DB.

You continue to hold up a high bar for great playing!

Thunkadelic! Sounds great. I’m gonna play my Tal tonight now. Such a great sound!

You can’t get that kind of thunk out of a L5 or 175.
Tal Farlow was the king of thunk. Luckily some of us have his thunk tool of choice.
-
DB, outstanding. Your playing, the Tal, and the Polytone are the perfect marriage of elements.
I love Polytone amps with Gibson lam-body archtops. For 25 years I gigged with a 175/Baby Brute. Always got thumbs up from the musicians in the audience.

DB, great phrasing, great tone, great playing. What more needs to be said?
