Bob made spectacular Fratello I am selling on reverb and will post it here for **SOLD** to me shipped continental US. Great deal for a vintage masterpiece.

this was handmade in his Clearwater shop for a local jazz player. Premium wood selection and an absolute beauty. Only one visible blem on the headstock to note. Very little nitro checking, just a small patch on back. Neck geometry is spot on. Here is my reverb ad and flawless review history. Appreciate your time.

    Just a moment...

That is a really nice guitar. I have a 1989 Fratello and it is absolutely fantastic.

IMHO the period from 1988 into the Fender deal was really a golden time for Bob's instruments. Your Fratello is stunning and I'm sure a fabulous, wonderful guitar.
There are a few of us on the forum that are fortunate to own these masterpieces. As I have posted many times, my 1990 Cremona with a floating Bartolini P/U gets played out a lot. When I go to heaven it's going to my Nephew to hopefully remain in the family.
GLWS, and best wishes to the new caretaker.

Cal Collins had a Fratello. I always wondered where that one ended up. I studied some with Cal as a young guy and had a deep admiration of him and his mastery. He once told me, when I asked him what I needed to do to be a great player, "..you just mainly need to love it". He was a cool guy. I know that Fratello meant a lot to him. But he could ring music out of about any guitar.

Thanks for sharing your Fratello story. These guitars have such a rich history of dedicated players and great people. Makes me smile to hear them.

I was at Bob's house in Clearwater about that time and played a Fratello that he was packing to ship to Sam Ash in NY - really nice guitar - should have ordered one at the time - they were a whole lot cheaper back then. BTW, Augie LoPrinzi told me once that he was responsible for the 'Fratello' name - it means 'brother' in Italian.

Giving this another bump. Have someone coming to take a look at my Thorell, if it sells this weekend this listing is getting pulled.

Pulling the ad may be a good move. I have a nearly identical guitar to your Fratello and I think you would be hard pressed to ever find another guitar in the same league. I am surprised you haven’t sold it for what you are asking, but I think you may regret it if you were to sell it.

No doubt Keith. No doubt. I sold a modern day 16-B for the same price as this. Even this low all I have heard has been, give me your best price!

I won’t be disappointed in pulling it but told myself first one sold goes…

I think your Fratello, hand-made by Bob, should be worth more than a 16-B. I have owned a lot of archtops over the years and whenever I buy one, the first thing I do is compare it to my Fratello. So far, I haven’t found one that makes me want to sell my Fratello. If I were you, I would keep that one.
