Here's a bit of "Meditation" with all of my apologies and respect to the great Tom Jobim, who penned this tune and so many other seminal bossa nova pieces, as my rendition is not bossa nova, changes the melody a bit and reharmonizes the form. So..ah, well, we get what we get, right?

Hey Mark, I never told you this and I guess I should. You actually have influenced my playing in an important aspect. I noticed (for a long time) how your left hand is always in a comfortable position.
I've been on this kick of really getting some harmony together, and as I do I'm really sticking to that principle.
I would show you what i mean but I think that would be a pretty big derailment lol

Thanks

Well, I mean more of the lack of stretches and chords that look difficult. To me Stowell is the opposite, he puts his hands in all sorts of crazy positions and stretches to get his particularly unique harmonies

I see, yes 100%. I have enough hand pain already that I’ve had to adapt what I do. The vertical posture really helps whether you’re stretching a lot or not at all.
