So far the only person who's done it right is Dirk. But there are lots of vids and stuff while we get there :-)

With a backing track you can slow down.

Yes, good stuff, I clicked 'like' at the time.

There's another word for that. And you can't get cream for it.

Plain vanilla, lacking authentic syncopation and phrasing is not my idea of "doing it right."

I whipped this out quickly and the Flintstones part was done by ear so it may not be the optimum way to line up the two tracks, plus I don't think the two tunes have the same number of measures or the same chord changes. However, I think this could be made to work if one is so inclined (I'm not). I'll give that assignment to joe2758 since he's the one who is groovin' high on the flintstones.
Groovin' High is on the top staff with Flintstones on the staff below it - just the first 12 bars of each (through the first ending of Groovin High). Last 16th note on Groovin' High should be Eb (not E).

First date with Miss Ann, I doubt she'll want to see me again.

I don’t know mick. Would you say this is … and I’m just spitballing here … Plain vanilla, lacking authentic syncopation and phrasing is not my idea of "doing it right."?

Worked a bit on Miss Ann but it’s very slow at the moment. Odds are when I’m back to a guitar, I’ll have mostly forgotten it.

Very good.
Cuck-oo, cuck-oo :-)

I agree that I'm not "doing it right" yet. In fact after listening to it, I think I should follow our study protocol here, i.e., practice a few bars at a time rather than try to master the entire thing at one time as I did. It's clear that the "play all" approach will not work with a Dolphy tune.

You better watch your mouth, young man.

I don't think I actually know what the Flintstones theme is, so that went over my head. It sounds like a strange classical guitar etude!
