Have you played one of these guitars? I had a chance to play the rare Epiphone H.R. III model the other day - funny how I'd never heard of it until this thread and then Poof! one showed up locally. Epiphone said its neck width is 1 & 11/16" (I measured it and that looked accurate), like the Gibson model, but it felt really cramped, thinner than any guitar I own including my telecaster. If I had bought one sight unseen, I would have had to return it.
