Hi all.
I've not been playing this and now a move prompts me to find it a new home.
It started with reading the thread from Little Jay on his Bian XueBin project. I totally blame him for that.
It was a barrel of fun and turned out not too bad.
The body/neck came from Bian and all the parts from StewMac. It's wired with a push/pull to be series or parallel.
Both sound nice.
The neck is 1.75" as I like and a bit beefy as you may like.
It has the post under the bridge so you could put a regular TOM on it. I just liked the vibe of the floating bridge.
I mentioned in the LittleJay thread that the truss rod is a bit off center. I think when Bian made the neck wider that he added just to the bass side.
Seems ok.
It's super light under 4.5 lbs. I live in the PNW but I still have styrofoam shipping box it came in from China but no case.
I have about $500 in it total and a bazillion hours of tinkering.
Don't know what to ask? Make an offer? Somebody chime in maybe?
Thanks

A single pickup 330? I’m into it.

Lots to like there. I like the vibe of the floating bridge as well.

Would be awesome to check out on a video demo or audio clip. Totally like the vibe as well. Did you say what the pick up was?
-
The pickup is from Stewmac. I forget which one. It is quite bright but calms down well I think. I don't have much of an amp.
I wish I played well enough to record videos but it's probably not going to happen.
Ha!
If I sent it to one of you who can actually play for a video then everyone would probably want it!

Where are you located? Maybe one of us is close enough to help you out.

A wonderful place. I spent 13 years there. I'm pretty sure we have members in the area. Maybe someone would like to do you a good turn.

I worked at Schuback violin shop in the 80s went to lots of music in the area. My wife and I are now looking at retirement and a move to Portugal! We did consider Canada also but there’s a bit less freezing in Braga.
Cheers

So I still have this guitar!
Any interest at close to $500?
I would be happy to trade for a comparable ish Telecaster? Even a loaded tele body that I could put a Warmoth neck on would be great. Something I could take apart and pack into luggage.
I'm already taking a nice Taylor and guitars are quite expensive to travel with even if they're cheap.
Worse comes to worse (I really dislike craigslist) it could go to a local HS jazz program. Or maybe Goodwill! Might be interesting to see what it goes for there!
Thanks to all!
