    Hello everyone,
up for sale is the best guitar I've ever owned and, most likely, will never have anything even remotely close to it:
Theo Scharpach OpusG Acoustic Archtop Jazz Guitar
Theo Scharpach OpusG Acoustic Archtop - located in EU-gopr2164-jpg

A rare, fully handcrafted archtop by Theo Scharpach. This is a custom-built OpusG model with an original price of €21,435 (documentation included), placing it firmly in the top tier of boutique archtop guitars.
Scharpach instruments are trusted by world-class musicians, including Al Di Meola, Ted Ludwig and many other greats listed on Theo's website here: https://scharpach.com/players/

I had the honor of being an endorsed artist of Theo Scharpach and used this instrument exclusively during my studies at the Prins Claus Conservatorium.
The guitar was funded by the Friends of Prins Claus Conservatory and provided to me for professional use during my time as a student. It took me 3 full years to pay off the debt and get full ownership of the instrument.
Ironically, now as an obligation to pay back a conservatory student loan — I have to put the instrument up for sale in order to close that debt.

    Tone
True acoustic archtop with strong projection, clear note separation, and a warm, woody jazz tone.
Extremely responsive with a wide dynamic range — ideal for both comping and single-note playing.

My heart bleeds for you. You are obviously a very advanced player, the sort who deserves such a guitar.

It’s way out of my league, financially and in other ways. Best wishes for the sale.

Thanks for your kind words, Rob!
To be honest, I always felt like I didn't grew up enough to complement the guitar.
And if there's a single chance to keep it - I certainly will!

Theo just finished a guitar for Wolfgang Mutspiel himself.
Don't miss an opportunity to acquire an instrument from such a luthier!

I've said that many times and sold many nice guitars.

Over time, though, I've come to view that as a false dichotomy.
Plenty of $100 thrift-shop guitars can be set up to deliver everything I need. That doesn't mean I'm required to flinch when I play nicer ones that offer much more than I need.

GLWS Oleg. Or maybe, good luck finding a way to keep it.

I feel the same as Rob. This guitar sounds wonderful in your hands and you would only continue to grow into it over the years. I hope you can find a plan B and not have to sell it!
