Brand New (!?!) Gibson Super 400

Well, we had all been wondering what Gibson would charge for their new archtops if/when they became available. Looks like we have an answer:

Well I am looking for Super 400 but not a CES but an acoustic, that said glad to see they got one out.

With that, it's not a new build.

Gibson has used many serial numbering methods but for most 21st century builds it is:
YDDDYBBB

Y=Decade D=Day Y=Year B=build of the day
11097002

201x / April 17 / xxx7 / Build (or stamp) 002

April 17, 2017, starting the workday right by stamping a new Super 400.

Odds are overwhelming that the seller is selling as New Old Stock (and neglecting to mention that in the writeup).

Correct it is a 2017. Gibson made 1 more S400 in 2018 and that was it. I have the last Tal Farlow made which is also a 2018.

That NOS '17 CES seems priced a little steeply, but if, in frequent Reverb fashion, it goes for 20% off, maybe not so bad to the buyer who must own it.
