    Howdy folks,
I have a Gibson L4 archtop that is not getting played as much anymore. These are basically the acoustic version of the L5, solid top, cozy 16" lower bout, adjustable truss rod and bridge.
Acoustic tone is crisp and dry.
Im not 100% about the year.
This one has been played hard and shows it! no pickguard and somewhere along the line I lost one of the fretboard markers.
Action is great, truss rod works, guitar is ready to play! Tuners and tailpiece are not original.
I figure it would sell for around $2000 on reverb pretty easily, Id love to find someone that would swap me with a similar value European-made D hole manouche (gypsy jazz) style guitar. Heavy wear is cool, clean guitars make me nervous and depressed. I would also entertain reasonable paypal goods and service offers. I am located in Western Colorado.
    Thanks!

Did you get that thing off Tim Armstrong? That’s a well used guitar, super cool.

    Good luck with the sale/trade.

Nope it came out of an estate sale, and was basically a wall hanger. I put the tail piece on it (aged it with gun blue so it was not obnoxiously and shiny) and the Kluson tuners and adjusted the truss rod and bridge and started playing it.

It was a joke, here's a picture of Tim and his guitar for context.

oh yeah sorry I missed that. My years of interest in punk rock was in the era of The Melvins, steel pole bathtub, Fugazi, alice donut, etc. Once Nirvana blew up on MTV I wanted nothing to do with it until my son started turning me on to some newer stuff more recently. Rancid / Green day / the offspring etc never really was in my ears

I really like the current look of her I would even take it to an open mic night just to play that in front of people

Yeah I agree. I have thought about replacing the fretboard marker and even doing a very light overspray of a vintage-correct nitro but I rather sell it cheap and let the new owner make those decisions.

oh yes. I guess I wasn’t thinking. This is always been more like a 175 even in the 1920s.
