Well, thank you, Sam, I've never bought guitars as investments and have none that would help me get out of a financial bind - only into one.

I have no affiliation with the seller, just an admirer. It’s pretty hard to get a D’A for less than five figures in this day and age, let alone an Excel.
Hey i'm the nerd who did at least 4 offers because the guy had not setting shipping for Europe so he asked me to make the offer and counter offered so it would be right. It was late Sunday night in Paris and he accepted my offer, then reverb tells you that you have 48 hours to pay, i wanted to pay right away but my bank limit was a couple of grands below so i had to call my bank guy so he would do it manually about 6hours after. I told the seller All good you ll get the money in 6hours and he repplied "i can't wait i have other buyers in line" then he relisted and sold it an hour after. I was pissed off because i try to explained him that anyways Reverb will put the money on his account only once the tracking number is created and the guitar on its way, which who ever buyer it was would be at the same time than me. As i have already enough guitar i said fine, but still i thought the seller didn't behave as professionnally as his position commends him... Didn't put bad review on reverb but now that i ve seen that thread i thought i'd share my bad experience. It opened my eyes on the fact i have too many guitars and i'm now downsizing 5 cool vintage archtops from the Acoustic Standards in Paris collection, i'll share the infos in another thread. Cheers

I am sorry to hear that. Anyone who is familiar with you would know that you are a straight shooter (and a highly respected musician). After the seller accepted your offer, they should have accommodated your timeline, considering the distance and time zones involved. That really sucks.

Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry you missed out because of an impatient seller. It sounds like he desperately needed the money. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to now know what happened with that sale. I wonder if we'll see that guitar pop up again for sale anytime soon (at a higher price). Glad you already have a D'A to console you (I've often wondered just how many D'A owners are out there, being a recent addition to that club myself). Looking forward to hearing which 5 you're planning on keeping.
