Hi y'all,
Am headed to Paris and in a few weeks and would love some recommendations from the community. I've posted elsewhere on the forum about my quest for a 1939-1941 Gibson Super 400P so curious if anyone know of any shops that I should visit while I'm there that deal in vintage guitars, ideally archtops. (Here's the link to that other thread, for anyone interested). I'll primarily be in/around Paris but will also be taking the train down the Loire Valley for a couple days as well. Also always keen for any favorite spots to hear jazz. Have done a general search on the most well-known venues but always curious about other, more intimate spots that feature local talent.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Get in touch with Romain Vuillemin. I suspect he would know where they all are.

And he’s likely to know if anyone (shop or individual) has a matching 400P that they might sell.

In Paris you have a couple of stores/boutiques specializing in vintage and particularly archtops/hollow-body :
Galerie Casanova - Luthier-Expert a Paris - Jerome Casanova - Guitares
Accueil - Le Guitarium
guitares jazz et jazz manouches d'occasion archtops copies selmer favino anastasio alves de puga gibson epiphone occasion guitare village
Galerie Casanova and Le Guitarium are in Paris.
If you visit Le Guitarium you'll visit the Pigalle district where the Moulin Rouge is located and the basilica of the sacred heart (Basilique du Sacré-Cœur). You can also visit all the guitar shops on Rue de Douai.
Guitre Village is a great store but a little far from Paris, you have to take the famous "ligne H" from Gare du Nord and walk 15-20min to arrive to the store.
Actually they have a Gibson Super 400c but from 1967! Since I live in Paris I've never seen a Gibson Super 400p for sale...
I hope that you'll find your happiness and enjoy your stay in Paris

I went to Paris for a long weekend last year to see the Mark Rothko exhibition, and thought why not take in some guitar shops while there, I didn't realise they all shut on Sundays
Here I am looking at guitars through the bars, please don't make my mistake.
