This is your chance to own a piece of Jazz Guitar History. I am helping the family of Legendary Jazz Guitarist Peter Leitch sell his guitars and gear. Peter was a mainstay of the NY jazz scene since the 1980s. He recorded with Woody Shaw, Oscar Peterson, John Hicks, Pepper Adams, and many others. He was a truly brilliant musician.
This is Peter's L5 as featured on many of his records. He played this guitar exclusively until he was gifted a Hofner AZ Award by German Jazz Guitar Legend Atilla Zoller. This guitar was featured on many of Peter's records in the 1980s/90s, including the famous Woody Shaw record, "Solid." This L5 is in a Rare natural finish, with original Seal-Fast tuners , new nut, new frets and full set up by an esteemed New York luthier. Original pickups. As the play-wear indicates, Peter played this guitar daily for years and as a result, it sounds and feels incredible. One of the best L5s I've ever played. Serial Number #725583
The neck and back have intense finish wear from Peter's hands and body. The body has aged into a beautiful "amber" finish. The guitar is stunning, historical, and sounds great. The real deal. I cannot think of a better guitar for a Peter Leitch admirer to own.
