I'm looking for a non-cutaway Gibson L-5 or L-7 acoustic archtop located in EU. I'm interested in both 16'' and 17'' body models.

I posted a PSA a while ago about a 1947 L5 that I saw for sale in Naples Florida. I played the guitar a week ago and it sounded fantastic. It was at Gator Music Supply (239)261-9100. The shop owner told me it was a one-owner guitar on consignment by the owner’s widow. It has been well used and shows a fair amount of wear. Newer frets are in good shape. I think there was a small repaired crack in the back. He has it listed for $6950. When I looked at it, he was willing to knock off a few hundred bucks. I have no connection to the guitar or the seller.

Oops, I didn’t notice the buyer is looking in the EU. That’s pretty much excludes the one in Florida.

Easy fix, just move from Naples, Florida to Naples, Italy and take the guitar with you.

There is an L7 for sale in Germany: Vintage Gibson L7, 1942, all original, Case; TAUSCH in Bayern - Erlangen | kleinanzeigen.de

I contacted the seller a while ago, he says he prefers to trade. There used to be a price in the ad, I believe it was 4500.-.
Incredibly clean guitar judging from the pictures.

I’d advise you to give a look to Jérôme Casanova’s luthier workshop in Paris.

    Galerie Casanova - Luthier-Expert a Paris - Jerome Casanova - Guitares

Probably the best archtop boutique in France.

    Cheers.

If he knew that, the OP may have responded. Communication is key.
If you are in the EU and you have a guitar that fits the the critiria, let him know.
See what happens. One can't guarantee you'll get reponse but it's probably more likely if you let the OP know what you're selling.

right. if this was my first post in a forum i'd make sure to give a like and answer to every response. maybe even introduce yourself so we dont have to guess the country. i asked if OP was willing to pick up locally since i will not ship to a stranger. should i give up my location first to a new poster? i dont think so. no response says communication will be difficult. i am not in the "see what happens camp". life is too short.

There has been nothing much to 'like' before your 'disappearing OP' post (except the photos of the nice guitar in Florida!).
Had I a guitar for sale that matches the OPs requirements I would have probably replied to the OP something like this 'Hi, I have a (name of guitar) and I'm in the EU. Please PM me if interested'.
I just thought you had jumped the gun with your 'disappearing' post.
We clearly see things things differently.

he was asked twice about his location and several people took it out of their time to reply to him. but i see your point. tbf i dont really have it for sale. i might have been willing to thin the herd if the right caretaker came along.
