This guitar is my baby and I know I'm gonna regret this! Will include soft case in picture.
This guitar was a custom build I had commissioned from one of the best builders to do it Mr. Ed Schaefer! He started building it last year and I got it in the beginning of this year. It's his 15 model and the inspiration of this build was to make a mini L5. Pickups are Seth Lover, 25 inch scale length and a 1 3/4 nut. Gorgeous antique sunburst finish and Ed is definitely one of the kings of the burst. Beautiful flamed maple back, neck and sides with a spruce top. Ebony fretboard with pearl and abalone inlays. It's very light weighing in about 7-8lb and really is the perfect all around guitar as it is feed backless due to the semi hollow construction. The center block doesn't go all the way leaving about an inch off the back to still give it a hollow body sound. Definitely has a nice practice level sound acoustically. I have all the pictures of the making of the guitar so ill be more than happy to share those to anyone of interest. It really pains me sell it but I'm in a bit of a tight spot financially and need the extra cash. I'll one day have Ed build me another one when things pick back up.
His builds start at about 6500 for a 15 and usually take about 3-6 months to give you some reference.
Please feel free to reach out if you wanna chat or want a video.
Guitar is also posted in other sites and pages so this reverb ad may end at any moment.
Blessings.
Looking to get 3800 OBO. Will consider trades for an archtop with a 1 3/4 but would prefer cash.

That’s a beautiful guitar. I was lucky enough to own a Schaefer 16 for a while and it was an amazing guitar.
And Ed Schaefer is a very cool guy. I’ve told this story before here, but I once posted a question as to whether my 16 was X or parallel braced. An evening or two later, my phone rang and it was Ed calling to answer my question! We had a nice chat.
I’m glad to see he’s still making archtops, although I’d guess only on a commission basis. I know he was having hand issues from all the carving required.
Anyway, good luck with your sale. Lovely instrument.

Noticed this one came down a bit on Reverb. What is the forum price now if still available?
