Got a lot of good answers on my other post about videos and ended up downloading Open Shot which seems simple to use. As a test, I made a short 30 sec video with my phone just panning around my room, then moved it to my older desktop. I dragged the video into Open Shot and added a random .wav file that I had handy. When I tried playing it, it would stutter about every second or so (the video played fine in Windows Media Player). I'm guessing that my older processor (AMD E1-2500)(16GB RAM) just does not have the power to work with video. I also did the same experiment on my newer laptop (Intel Core i3 7th Gen) and it worked much better. The only drawback is that, on the desktop, it would require ~36 minutes to export the finished 30 second video and the laptop, ~9 minutes. I'm wondering if this is normal or if I really need to upgrade to much newer hardware. Thoughts?

I'm trying to get into some video as I might want to participate in the "Just The Melody" thread. I can do audio just fine, but video is a whole 'nother animal.
