This is pretty old so may have been posted before (but I couldn't find any mention). I thought this was an outstanding interview, on so many levels.

Looks like Monk Rowe has a very long list of jazz folks he's interviewed so I look forward to listening to some more. But this is a fine place to start:

As some of you may know I'm one of that rare breed who loves clarinet jazz / swing. One of my favourite clarinet albums is Finally Ron by Ron Hockett. Aside from the superb clarinet the guitar player is tremendous. It's James Chirillo. He's fast becoming a favourite of mine.
