    Adam Rogers sets the standard imo. Fantastic articulation and a relentless musicality to his lines - sometimes it feels like there's too much information to process but then it all seems to make musical *sense*. Genuinely convincing in a variety of styles and a fantastic nylon string player.

    Really loved this thread. Thanks Dutchbopper (Jazzerman??) for starting it.

    I started out on guitar with rock music, and some of those Chris Potter licks from the first video remind me a lot of Carl Verheyen. He's not playing sophisticated changes by any means, but he really loves his intervallic licks, and has some cool videos on intervallic pentatonic stuff.

    Also, thanks jtizzle for introducing me to Julian Lage and Mike Moreno! These guys are great and definitely have something special about their playing that I have to hear more of.
