    Nice, well played!

By the way, i was lucky enough to see Karl Ratzer play live in Salzburg, back in 1982, at a club named "Podium" (don't know if the club still exists). Oh boy, what an amazing guitar player!! On that gig he was playing with Alan Ett (sax), Fred Braceful (drums) and, sadly, I don't remember who played bass... anyway, they were burning, big time they were!! They played hard core jazz, from bebop all the way to screaming free improv, the energy and interplay was unbelievable!! After that, unfortunately, I've lost track of him (them) and I'm surprised how relatively little known these fantastic musicians are.

"Mean Time" is more on the funky/fusion side of things (probabily a later development of his?)... nice anyway.

    Cheers.

Hi, this is actually quite an old tune by Karl. There's a live recording of him from the 70s. Karl was absolutely top-notch in his prime. The power, the energy, and the talent! I know Karl quite well; when I was young, he invited me to play with him at his concerts a few times. Now he's old and wise with age, his wild days are long gone. Best regards, Andy
