Here's an L5 you don't see every day. Not sure what to think of it. The pickguard def. has to go! :-)

I can see no difference from the Lee Rit model except for the color.

Yeah. Looking at it, I can understand why this model# is “rare.” Definitely not the best look for a L5. The six finger tension tailpiece is a monstrosity also.

    Scale length maybe?

The add says it appears to be a Lee Ritenour model in all but name. A limited run/one off from the Gibson Crimson Team.

Also-at first I never noticed the finger tail piece; I'm so used to seeing them on Heritage guitars that it slipped right by. Whooosh! :-)

It should be rare, as in "red headed step child " rare! I get the feeling that someone had this guitar custom made and Gibson never told them that they had no sense of colour or design!!!

If I had the extra money I'd get one of the custom luthiers such as Holst, Campellone, Baker etc to try and build me a 15 "L5". Wonder if they would sound the same? Something tells me no. ( I've always had trouble with 17" guitars given my small hands.)

/methinks the L5 really has become the Golf of the guitar world - there are so many different variations that are usually so far from the original that one wonders why Gibson still have other model names in their catalog!

I dig the colour though. Gives it an Eastman vibe with a less awkward headstock

I haven't posted this in at least a couple of days.

    Here's five more of them:

And remember boys, thems Canuck $$$. $7,650 greenbacks seems like a decent price for any kind of L5 these days.

I seem to remember seeing that Trogly guy unboxing a full-size version of this.

I think you need to add this new one with the red toilet seat pickguard.

If I hadn’t promised my wife no more guitars I’d do it. I already have a replacement guard.

Bro, I dont think you have one of these.. Just sayin..
Here is the trick. Throw all your pots and pans in the garbage, or donate them.. Replace them with Le Creuset's. Even I couldnt hit somebody with one of those..
