Hadn't seen this before, but a nice look at Benson's guitars over the years.

Thanks! GB is one of my top 3 heroes (among a few others...), and this was very illuminating.

I love Benson, and perhaps derailing quite a bit here …. But when I listened to that video though, it hit me that I recognized a LOT of the text the guy is reading out ?

So I googled a bit and almost every sentence in this vid is literally copy-pasted from another internet resource, seemingly quite often even without understanding of what he is reading.

for instance when he is showing George ‘s (obviously sunburst) dangelico, randomly specs are read out as “Alpine spruce, curly maple, ebony, brass, celluloid, mother-of-pearl; blonde finish, cutaway —> copied literally from https://blog.metmuseum.org/guitarher...er-model-1958/

But the entire text is like that…. where I work we call this plagiarism

It (the narration) does sound robotic at times. Yet, for someone who has never read up, it is a good video.

I didn’t catch that. Thanks for pointing this out.

... that is a robot voice. it's a thing now, some of them are pretty realistic. The "tell" is the pronunciation of certain words. The person who made the video may not even be interested in the subject, the idea is just to get a lot of videos out, and eyeballs on them to get paid.

That is not a robot voice. That is Ramon Goose reading from a script.

    This is Ramon talking naturally:

Careful you can get accused of being "infatuated" for saying things like that in here.

    I'm sorry Ramon, lol.
He's the guy who reads fast, right? I used to watch his vids but they became too annoying with that.

But anyway, what I described is true with the robot narrator voices now. Even if this is not one of those.
