Anyone know the story behind the Metheny "335 Montreux?" Montreux Jazz Festival 1993

Well, if anyone knows the history of that guitar, I would very much like to know it, was it an eventual loan at that Festival?

That's a lot of Bling! Especially strange seeing Pat Metheny playing it,given his usually attire of choice,LOL !

I heard a story about the promotor of the festival wanted him to sit in with a group (maybe that one?) but his gear wasn’t on site so he was given that guitar. Supposedly it was set up with 9’s or some really light strings so he fiddled with it best he could so it was playable. I think he still has it too. Pretty wild looking guitar!
