    There was some discussion on a recent (could be older) thread
    about strings where one of our esteemed members mentioned
    his dislike for Thomastik's high E & B strings.
    He recommended a certain brand and material as his favorite.
    Also mentioned where he got them.
    Since my mind is a sieve, I needed to ask.

    Try Just Strings dot com bulk pack plain steel strings. I live in a humid environment and the JS bulk strings don't seem to rust as the John Pearse plain steels do. I have an opened sleeve each of 14s and 18s that is over 3 years old. Still shiny...in 60RH to 98 RH daily tropical humidity. They are $2.90 for a dozen. Give them a go to see if they work for you.
