I don't play with the pick upside down, broad round end but I found a couple of years ago that I had "instinctively" started using the side of the tip. 351 shape with the point aimed sort of at the fretboard. It's easy to angle the tip more directly at towards to top if I want a little more edge. It's not a drastic change but I gave vone to prefer it.

Rounded end - been doing so since at least 1980. At that time I read an interview of Pat Metheny in Guitar Player Magazine, where he mentioned picking with the rounded end. Also, my uncle (Guitar Generation #2 in the family) recommended to me, picking with the rounded end of the pick (he was doing so at the time). I prefer the sound (IMO it's smoother), and I get better control - especially if I double pick. My pick of choice? Dunlop Ultex.

I like the 347 shape, thickness1-1.5 mm, sometimes I model a 1.5 mm pro plec with the 347 shape.
