    Based on your past posts, you seem to be new to jazz and guitar. There are some distinctions you seem to be failing to make.
    - We are not talking about Grant Greene's musicianship. Almost anyone can achieve a good jazz tone regardless of the skill level. Conversely, Grant Greene can record playing a Stratocaster mic'ed acoustically without an amp. It won't be a great tone but it'll still be great music. There are Joe Pass has recordings in the same vein.
    - Jazz musicians wear two hats. One as a jazz listener and appreciater of the art form. The other one is as musicians. When we talk about recordings, we are in the context of the former. In that case it's a discussion about art, not a pissing contest.
