Just thought I'd do an update. Left to right: Hagstrom HL-550, Eastman 503CE with Creamery CC pickup, Eastman DM1.
That's me covered for quite a while, I imagine. Not high-end stuff, but I love how they sound and play. Of the three, the central one gets most attention. The carved top gives a nice warm tone for unplugged playing, and when plugged in, the CC pickup gives me a fantastic thunk!Last edited by Rob MacKillop; 12-04-2019 at 12:53 PM.

Great!
Hey do you know what the “DM” stands for in your DM-1?

Yes, our forum member, Doug Martin. I think other companies should name their guitars after us

Unlike a violin or cello sound post it is a rectangle, hollowed-out in the middle, running parallel to the length of the bridge, and about half an inch wide.
The Hag has no acoustic sound to speak of, it's basically an electric guitar, but the mahogany body and air contribute greatly to its electric sound. By contrast, the Eastman has a very nice, if fairly quiet, acoustic sound.

Is the HL500 different from the 550?

Not at all. I was joking. Delighted for others to join in. And who can complain about seeing great classic archtops. The more the merrier!

My 10 archtops (not to mention my four other guitars) will not fit in one shot so here are six of my archtops:
1997 Gibson Super 400
1996 Gibson L-5 WESMO
2003 Gibson L-5 CES
1948 D'Angelico Style B
1935 D'Angelico Excel
1937 D"Angelico Style A
I apologize for the crappy cell phone photo but guitar expenditures have prevented my obtaining a quality camera, priorities are important.

JZ will be onto this in his FB group, mark my words...

I am serially monogamous and this is my current partner in music.

Michael - once you've found the right partner, you've no need for any other. That looks beautiful and inviting.
Stringswinger - quite an amazing collection. Do you have a favourite?
Jonathan - do you also have a favourite?
