    OK Brian B,

    Got the PM.

No need for postage, it will be traveling only maybe 50 miles or so anyway.

I see you have an Emperor T.

Did it ever need a neck reset?

Oh, that's right. You're kinda local. Awesome. Thank you. I'll buy you a (insert beverage of choice) if we ever cross paths...

I wonder about that. The action is really low and it plays great, but...

It seems like the neck is pitched the wrong way. If the body were laid flat horizontally, the neck rises from the guitar, instead of going downward. I'd always thought that odd, but other pics I've seen of them it seems like that's normal.

Part of me actually would like to, so it would pitch the normal way, and I could raise the bridge a bit (it's a thinner than normal Asian TOM copy and it's flush on the top).

The fellow I bought it from in Quincy MA never mentioned a reset, and it seemed he'd had the guitar a significant time.

Night Shift “The 87” is the current favorite.

Yes I believe it is normal for this design.

These strike me as great guitars. I just note that the neck angle always seemed to challenge the overall design slightly, so that if the wood moves over time (as it may want to do) a reset becomes the solution.

If yours plays fine and the bridge is not “bottomed out” then i suspect it will live on for a loooong time just fine.

That's one guitar that if it needs a reset, I'll get it done. It'll take something extraordinary to get that one away from me...

I would definitely not do anything to it.

It is one of those very specific guitars where the time and place came together to make an all-time winner.

I only mention the reset because some just got to where the bridge hit bottom.

    In my opinion.

It's a tool you can use to do stupid sh!t to a guitar, like this. You know, to ruin a guitar.

I wish cases came lined in white. It is odd looking, but the very rare, but possible, color bleed onto a lacquer finish would be thus avoided.
