    BigMike,

Great Heritage guitar. I almost elected to buy it back when MG owned it a few years back. It is _really_ tasty alright. I can't recall seeing a guitar with a lower action, except maybe those old Les Paul Customs with the flat frets.

    It should be exceptional.

Made fettuccine aglio olio and it was a great pairing with the pork chops and gravy. Packed it all up in lunch containers, had my neighbor from 6 down and gave her two. Ate, did a 2nd load of dishes and then after a rest tuned up the guitar. What Mark and Bob told me about how easy the neck is to play is no exaggeration. I've got some great guitars and a number of them seem so perfect (Unity's, the American Eagle, my GB100) but this one is so easy to play. Plugged into the Sebago Sound Texas Flood I found my sweet spot for now - both pickups but mostly the neck. Didn't spend that much time rolling on or off the tone controls but DOG these Lollars are the bomb... Glassy. I noticed playing an open A chord I had almost a vibrato and the sound just keeps ringing - I have so much sustain. It reminds me of that clip from Spinal Tap where Nigel Tufnel is showing off his Les Paul and Marshall that goes to 11 "the sustain, you could play a chord, go out and have a bite, come back and it's still going.... aaaahhhhhh". LOL !!

That's it for today guys. I'm beat. Gonna bundle up and sit on the porch watching Mother Nature try to blow the town away... God Bless...

I posted a review of the Lollartrons on the Gretsch forum quite a while ago. I did this after I got Big Mike's Heritage. Prior to buying that guitar, I searched for reviews of Lollartrons while I contemplated the purchase. The Gretsch forum had both favorable and critical reviews of the pups.

I added my review, which was favorable in the sense that the pups worked well and did sound Gretsch-like. I posted pics of the guitar. Well, no one cared about my review but frothed over the beauty of the Heritage.

Big reason for my love of Gibbys is the middle position -- mixing the two pickups in varying strengths opens up a boatload of tones. And how much more when it's a hollowbody with the richness that imparts?

HNGD. Make that sonofabitch sing for its lunch.

Big mikes timing was great and it was meant to be. He will be a god Stewart of this guitar and is a genuine George Benson fan and it belongs in his shrine. Made another good friend on this forum. I am fortunate to have these great guitars pass through my hands (because I live relatively close to our friend Martygrass) I will let fate determine my next guitar adventure and keep you all posted. Thanks Big Mike
