Danielle, one thing to keep in mind is that it takes a lot of power to drive the Beta 8 and since it's an 8 ohms speaker, the amp is running game on it's bottom power output. How you play and the output level of your guitar/pickup will be a factor, but for me the volume available from this rig is limited. I love the sound I get from it but if I need to get even a bit loud, I use my 1x10 Ethan with a lower wattage speaker. (On the other hand, I play with an absurdly light touch, so you may get much louder with the same rig)

I was using the 4 ohm version of the 1x10 Eden for about a year. It also got very loud with this amp and I liked it but I think the Earcandy cabs with the right speaker sound more natural and at least for what I do, I think I get enough volume from my 1x10 cab to handle whatever I'm going to need.

I was going to get the GK, but i think the Quilter will get more use and be more versatile if i can use it with the bass.
So, instead of using a bass amp for guitar, should i get the Quilter to use with bass? I have a dedicated bass speaker.

Taxman,
I believe Jim moved his Quilter 101 on (sold it) and is still using the MB200 (see his current post re the Godin archtop---very nice video too). Others may be able to answer your query, though.
