I just came back from lugging my Borys B-120 around in a HSC and my back is killing me.
I want a gig bag, but I've heard stories about either the neck or headstock snapping on this model after falling down when it was propped up against the wall in a RB leather gig bag (Circa. 2001)
Somebody HELP ME!!!!

A good gig bag will have a neck tower to support the neck and is not easily 'crushable'. Of course they can also be bulky. The Fusion bag I use for flat tops is a handful but is light and works well as a backpack.

I'm digging my Reunion Blues Continental. I was going to get the Dreadnaught size for my 16" ES-150, but it actually fit in the size smaller, which also fits my 16" Eastman 805 non-cutaway fine. I like the semi-rigid skeleton, neck suspension system, super comfortable backpack strap setup, and the ample padding. They have videos where the literally drop a guitar off 4 story roof, and it survives.
While I'm guessing that may not translate the same injury/damage one might expect ordinarily, it is a pretty strong statement.

Gig bag is not safety for top plate.

I bought a set of those when they first came out. I hated them. Putting them on and taking them off every time I wanted to take the guitar out or put it in what just a giant inconvenience.

Jack- I have a 35 year old leather Reunion Blues gigbag for a 335 style. I used it for my AS200 but haven't used it for years. The zipper has been replaced and I have a second zipper that I got from the company after talking to them at the NAMM show several years ago. It got some stains and lots of wear but still a great bag. Send me a message if you might be interested in checking it out.

There was a lot of hype recently about a new gigbag designed to be carried sort of vertically under your arm, but now I can't find the info.

Mono vs RB Cont (size):
Mono Dread: 16 x 42
Mono Classic: 15 x 40
RB Dread: 17 x 42
RB Classic: 16 x 41
I think all of them are a bit forgiving in the width, because the rims of an archtop are generally narrower than a flattop, and the case will "wrap" a little.

Jack, did you end up finding a bag for the GB10 that also fits a semi hollow? All the Dred cases look way too big.

I have a brand new Reunion Bag that I used for one tour in USA.
It was able to accomodate an Aria D'Aquisto Centura.
I left it at my friend's house in Chicago (I don't remember why, probably because I left my guitar to the luthier?) and he's keeping it in the closet since I don't remember how many years!
If you interested I can sell it to you!

I use a Mono Vertigo to carry my ES-175 and my Pisano AR480 everywhere except onto planes. It is a great product. Highly recommend it.

That makes sense, no one wants to get vertigo on a plane.
