Yeah, if only I could find a good used JP with average price lol. The only thing I got was 441$ (converted from my currency), with broken tuning machine and body cracked on jack input
I just sold my guitar yesterday, and 1 day without guitar feels like eternity lol.
I think if I can't find good used one in 1-2 weeks, I'll get AKJ/AFJ 95. It's surprisingly super cheap in my country, 390$ new!
I still cant find any AG95 tho and after looks more into it, it sounds great but the colour kind of put me off.

I wonder if anyone has both an Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor and an Ibanez Artcore AF75 and can compare them in size for me.
I've Googled the measurements and it seems like the Ibanez is slightly smaller, but when I look at pictures it looks bigger.

I think it's mostly the matter of shape. Ibanez seems just a bit rounder. Don't know about Emperor, but Ibanez feels very comfortable (even for me - Semi Hollow player)

My JP and AF100 are nearly identical in size, the bodies only differ fractionally in width / length (ibby has <1/2" shorter body) and are nearly spot on in thickness.

Thanks a lot Gary. Good to know! Looking at pictures of the AF100 I think it looks much bigger than the Epi JP Emperor, just like the AF75.
I’m gonna order an JP Emperor next week. Looking forward to checking it out!

Here's my Epiphone, it's my first electric archtop. I bought it and a Katana 50 and they sound decent so far. I put a set of Thomastik Jazz Swing 13s on it.

I got a lot of mileage out of mine.
I have heard anecdotally that the quality of the recent models is very good indeed. Mine was a 90’s-era Samick-made, which was also excellent.
I did change out the pickups to Stew Mac Parsons Street Alnico 2’s. My advice would be to play it awhile before making any changes like pickups. I like the Epi 57 pickups on my Peerless very well.

The JPEII is something of a classic in its own right. Congratulations, and play it in good health!

The Epi looks very clean from here, big congrats! Each time one comes along on the local CL I am tempted to check it out. And I like the Tree of Life as well.

It has a 16" body and is 2 7/8" deep. It now wears a set of Thomastik 13's flatwounds. I've noticed a tiny buzz when I play unplugged on the lower strings below the 5th fret. I'm going to adjust the neck a little and lower the strings and see what happens. It plays as well as $1500 guitars.

These guitars punch way above their weight in the price-per-performance category. As someone else noted, every time I see one on Craigslist I am tempted even though I don't remotely need another guitar. Ditto the amp. Congratulations, you should be set for years with that rascal.

Hi Guys,
i adjusted today the intonation on my Epiphone Emperor II 2015 , the 12th frets notes of the E B G strings were not in tune. But now, after the adjustment, the angle of the bridge looks now very unusual, like this:
The 12 frets notes are now in tune, but the bridge must be in such a extrem oblique angle, and the distances between the high strings are uneven now... What may cause it, did i do something wrong?

One of my guitars ended up looking like that....went away when I put new strings on.

The bridge is usually slanted to some degree or another. Usually not that much, but it happens. Try some different strings. If the strings in the set are not matched properly, the result can be something like that. Another possibility is having one adjustment wheel much higher than the other. This usually gives higher action on one side, probably the bass side, than the other. String height affects intonation, just as string diameter does. From the picture, it looks like heavy bass strings and high action on the bass side. If that is your preferred setup, and the intonation is acceptable, it shouldn't be a problem.
Can anyone date this? goodwill epiphone
