Sure I get that, however the GE has solid top plate and back, so not the same specs as I pointed out. Hey, every Comins I've had a chance to play has been outstanding, he trained with Bob Benedetto. He could also get a great laminated Bravo for within his price range.

Well I have a 1992/3 GE with a floating p/u that only sounds better, both acoustically and plugged in. A few years back, I bought a 2002 H 575 mah, again with a floating p/u, that has reasonable acoustic properties that is growing on me plugged in once I get around to changing the strings. Now, looking for a great deal on a H530 to complete the package. Fit and finish has been outstanding. I'd like chunkier necks but I've adapted.

I do believe that the floating pickup can be a point of criticism. This was made by Ken Rambow. It is a low output humbucker. Many had Kent Armstrong rebuild the pickup and make it hotter. Nowadays, others will do that work. It's a matter of preference…..

Is that who made their pickups? Not much info out there. I have what I believe to be a H3 with a gold cover in my mid 90’s GE.
