Quilter Tone Block 202 and Blockdock 12HD Guitar Amp combo Question

I found a Quilter Tone Block 202 and Blockdock 12HD Guitar Amp combo at my local pawn shop for under $300.

Didn't have a chance to play it but want to get some input on this. Is that a good value for this set up?

I recently picked up a 1954 ES-175 (posted previously) and have been playing it through my 1960 Fender Tweed Princeton.

Would like to have a set up with some solid clean headroom.

The amp AND the cab for under $300? If that's the case, that's a great deal. Just make sure it works.

Test it hands-on first. If the amp has issues or the speaker is blown, it might not be such a great deal. But whatever you do, do it soon. If this gear is not damaged, it won't be there long at this price.

The amp is key. If ok, it alone is a bargain. The cab's only possible issue is the speaker. Given Quilter's reliability and customer service, as well as Celestion's 300W power handling, this doesn't look like an overly risky proposition. The worst-case scenario is 100-200$ for a new speaker and shipping the amp back and forth. Someone recently asked 1,000$ for a BlockDock 12HD on Ebay. Even the lowest price seen was over 200$. I'd go for it, unless a fellow Forum member has already found out your location and snatched the loot.

Wow, that’s like the good old days! Enjoy it - it’s a wonderful combination that’s worth far, far more than you paid. I have the same rig, plus the 10” cab and an OD202. Great sound and serious power in a light little box - who could ask for anything more?

I hope the original speaker is still in the cab. It’s really fine - clean, warm, and balanced well from bass to treble in that cabinet.
