T-Armond is one of my favorite neck pickups EVER. Clear but fat, plain strings are fat, wound strings sound like a piano. Less mids than a P90. Like A really fat and loud tele or strat neck pickup. I like to describe it as a tele neck pickup and a P90 having a baby.

Cornell Dupree sort of agrees with you.

That switching system,And danged if he didn't sound just great with it. Cornell is one of those guitarists who is a hidden influence on people of my generation; we have heard him and absorbed him whether we know it or not.

If all he did was give us the lick from Memphis Soul Stew, he would be perpetually relevant. But he did so much more.

I'm close the the finish line, the tone of this Gabojo 2000 Dynasonic pickup is very nice; warm, girthy, and full. The big surprise is how resonant the guitar turned out to be. I'm getting close to the end... Will make and post some videos before is over.

That’s coming along nicely! Do you have plans for a pickguard?

    I think its just great.

I dont think I would add a pick guard unless you happen to be a sort of player that will scratch up the front

Its one of the best looking tele types Ive seen.

Typically, though they are slowly growing on me, I think teles are some of the ugliest guitars ever made.
Again, Im slowly learning to appreciate their odd character.

Yours just looks fantastic. I really hope you post some clips.

I would skip the pick guard. That’s a nice top.

Finally routed the back cover and the rear access and installed the magnets, the cover doesn't exactly match the mahogany wood pattern, but I don't mind.

Just added the decals, and now I'll move on to try this Dynasonic pickup (which sounds great) and compare it to the custom Pete Biltoft version of the a D'Armond Rhythm Chief 1100 in 2 separate videos.

Very nice work with the decals! I also like the vintage tuners. I am a non-collared tuner guy as well.

They're vintage looking tuners, but locking tuners as well...an added bonus.
