Is this soundpost feature unusual? Slaman DS175 Archtop Jazz Guitar For Sale | eBay

I used to own this guitar, and commissioned it from Daniel Slaman. The second owner, now selling it, bought it from me. Yes the soundpost is unusual, and was built that way, with a removeable soundpost and back panel. Without the soundpost, the guitar does feed back at gig levels, as you'd expect.
