I'm new to the Ipad. I got the 13" screen and Forscore.
I don't yet have a device to attach it to a music stand base or mic stand.
Any thoughts or recommendations?
I assume they all rotate 90 degrees so you can be in landscape for a 2-pager and portrait for a one page chart. That is a feature I need.

Most the tablet users in my big band have a foot pedal to change pages.

I've been using this Hercules iPad holder for a couple of years, works well in landscape or portrait, my iPad is the 11 inch but the link indicates it can hold a 13 inch as well.

I purchased this one from Amazon last week. Works well with my 13” iPad Pro. I use it with a Butterfly Bluetooth page turner ...

Just use a regular music stand. That way if you need to use paper, you can. I’ve been in lots of situations where I need to use both.

I got this one, and it does exactly what it is supposed to:
Amazon.com
I also have a similar holder for paper charts, which I got at Guitar Center.
I was using the bottom part of a mic stand for awhile, but also have used a sturdy Hercules guitar stand to hold the iPad.
I use an iRig Blue Turn for turning pages on the iPad. It works well with *most* programs, but there are a few it is wonky with.

I bought one very similar to this 3 years ago. There are many out there like it, so I just went for the one with what looked like the simplest and most solid approach to securing it to the stand. I just looked for mine to post a link, but (like so many items) it’s no longer available on Amazon. Stuff comes and goes there, so I learned long ago not to expect to buy another anything that’s exactly like the first one.

In looking at pictures, I notice that the tablets are held on two sides. That is, if the brackets are holding on the top and bottom in landscape, then, when you rotate to portrait, the brackets are only on the sides. Meaning, if it's not tight enough, the tablet slips down and hits the floor.
Well, theoretically. Is this a real issue? I didn't see any holders with brackets on 4 sides.
My case has a foldable cover which functions as a stand on a table. It can be draped over a music stand to hold the tablet securely in landscape mode. But, there is no way to use it in portrait mode without just putting it, unsecured, on the stand.
I'm trying not to take any chances with the Ipad getting knocked off a stand.

This post is about the foot pedal.
Apparently, most have two buttons - page forward and page back.
I have heard, but couldn't find just now, that some have four buttons, adding segno and coda. Is this right?
I'm guessing that you would have to pre-mark the chart to tell Forscore (or similar app) where the segno and coda are. I just watched a couple of videos which didn't quite cover that.
Anybody done the segno and coda button thing?
I am aware, btw, of the Forscore links feature (operated with an on-screen button, not a pedal) and the ability to unroll the chart so that you're always going forward. That would cover most situations but not multipage solo changes with the number of choruses not predetermined.

My latest colleague just glued a new glass on the broken iPad glass. Now he's got the "spiderman app" and a flat surface. If that ain't nice ...
