Octave Displacement using Arps

If you only start the arpeggio on the root note, you could miss out on some great sounding Octave Displacement phrases.

Below: This Octave Displacement phrase starts on the note C of a Dm7 arpeggio.

The phrase does start on the root of Dm7 - or is it the 5th of the G7? - D-Db-B > Arpeggio.

Slonimsky would call the Db an interpolated chromatic note. But I agree, it's best to not practice arpeggios in a set way.
