Heartbreaker for Croatia and a funky but correct offsides call.

Spain had a nice stroll in the park yesterday. With some nice artistic passing play.

Next for Spain are neighbours Portugal, who will need to improve their game.

It’ll likely be a Spain-France final, unless some wannabes like Argentina, England or Mexico get lucky. I’m a bit lost now:is there an African contender I’ve overlooked?

Well, yes, high altitude is very high.............................

87,523 capacity Stadium and only 3000 tickets are to be allocated to England fans.

84,523 Mexican fans in the stadium, so it will be very loud.

I’ve just heard the time of the Mexico-England game has been moved six hours earlier, at midday local time, due to a big storm being forecast. That makes it an easier evening watch in the UK.

Either time would be baking hot for the English team.

Cancel that. They’ve changed their minds. As we were.

    Mexico Azteca Stadium.

No wonder Curry's are stating Fans are in short supply in the UK.

I watched/reviewed all the Mexico world cup 2026 games, the Mexico team are not anything special, but their Fans, the Stadium, the Altitude, the Mexican Culture are.

Sorry to see Cape Verde go, but they didn’t go without a fight. Some great goals in that game. They’ll all be being bought up now by other countries leagues. It has been great to see them emerge and glow.

I think Mexico has a good chance. As a true English wannabe I will still support the Three Lions, but Mexico beating them wouldn't be too upsetting either. I lived in NYC neighborhoods with Mexicans, they are very passionate about football, and have great food.

England will get no sleep at their hotel, the Mexico fans are camped outside the England hotel, setting off fireworks and making as much noise as possible all night.

Morocco nice win! Once Pele was asked by a Russian fan can Russia ever win the Wolrd Cup? He said "Russia will lift the World Cup when Brazil win the Ice Hockey World Championship." It came to my mind when I was watching this match, might as well apllied to Canada! No offense Canadians

Are you sure? I recall Pele saying the US will win the World Cup when Brazil wins the Super Bowl.

    But I could be wrong.

Canada, I’d say, played a good first half. Good in that they stifled any forward momentum and drive of Morocco. But I think they got tired in the second half, and inevitably Morocco broke through. Canada never really showed a threat in the final third of the pitch. Like Scotland, they desperately need a quality striker.

Canada came out blazing but I think got frustrated as the chances started becoming fewer and fewer...

To be a fly on the wall at halftime in Morocco's locker room...

Decent game. Can’t argue Canada deserved more though.

Morocco rated 6 or 7 in the world. When, how did they get so good? The USA is 15th in comparison.

Colombia beat Ghana 1-0 last night. My brother's wife said prayers in church for Colombia the morning of the game. She says they all dress in yellow the day of the game.
My brother just came back from visiting her in Colombia, because you-know -who still won't let people from 80 countries come over to the US. They've been married for two years and she still hasn't been able to live with him in NY.
Colombia goes on to face Switzerland, Tuesday, July 7th.

I’m off to bed halfway through the France-Paraguay game. Really boring. I’ll find out what happened seven hours from now. Goodnight all.
