What's with the sloppy inlay work on a lot of the mid-level Ibanez guitars I'm seeing

I've been interested mainly in the Ibanez AM153QA/FM models and have gotten close to buying a new one a couple times. However, what has held me back is literally every example of a current-day one of these has weird inlay work for the blocks inlays. What's up with that? Maybe it's just me but the block inlays look fuzzy on the edges and undefined. I don't think it's schmutz or anything like that, I think the cut itself is sloppy. I only see this on newer ones as my AR420VLS from 2013 has the exact same type of inlay and it is perfectly square. This is a little annoying as otherwise I think the guitars are real winners on paper.
