To what extent can this be fixed?
How involved are those fix?
Many thanks for your thoughts

Without knowing what the finish on the guitar is, I couldn't say. Nitrocellulose lacquer is much easier than poly. That sort of looks like thick poly, and I don't think there is much that can be done, other than for the output jack. You can get a plate for that which will cover the damage and protect it from further damage.

Hi @sgosnell,
Thank you for chipping in.
Definitiveli not nitro so you must be right. It is a 1973 or 74.
I think I just leave it as is then, because it plays and sounds great.
Thanks

If the output jack is loose, or wobbles, you might consider installing a jack plate. It's a plate that is installed using 4 screws into the rim, with a center hole for the jack to be installed through. There a lots of archtops around with one installed, and some come factory-installed. But it's up to you.

Good to know, thank you.
No wobble so far. But I'll check for that jack plate as it sounds like a brilliant idea.

With the bridge, check to see of the metal posts are protruding on the underside of the base.
A very special NGD: a custom build that brought my ideas to life.
