There are always opinions that are projections of our own ideas of the way things should be. There is also the idea that an instrument's value is based on what you can sell it again for.
Then again, there are times when you envision something that's beautiful to yourself, and you just have to go for it.

It's about imagining something that you need and finding the tools to do it whether anyone else thinks it right or not.

Nice Harold and Maude Jaguar replica. No Bigsby but landau bars ! Too bad, after throwing his XK-E off the cliff, the guy doesn't play, say a Fender Jaguar with a Bigsby, just some 5 string banjo...

Chet Atkins learned the hard way and even one of the finest guitarists ever made a huge mistake. He took his D'angelico that John made him and cut holes in top a put in pickups. Chet did the worst of the worst, to the best of the best guitars ever made. He finally I believe manage to get the guitar back to John and have him put a new top on it.
Chet did have John D'A put a new top and neck on his Excel after June Carter knocked the guitar off a stand and broke it in the 50's. It was acoustic again, but Chet modded it in the 90's to put it back to how it was in the 50's with the Bigsby neck and P90 bridge pickups...so he did the "worst of the worst" twice!

    Installing a Bigsby B7 on a Benedetto Bravo-ittfwukiklfacla1cggv-jpgInstalling a Bigsby B7 on a Benedetto Bravo-y7n3kmtek2askamzotgi-jpg

Fender Benedetto Bravo tailpiece. Bigsby B6G. (I assume the Benedetto Savannah Bravo ebony tailpiece has the same flange and hole spacing.) Any chance of the screwmount holes lining up perfectly? Don't mind making new holes? Fill up the old ones first then drill away!
