I’ve been reading the OG real book a lot for practice lately, and enjoy a lot of the really weird inclusions. I think sixth edition loses a lot of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Must be my thyroid but sometimes my stories 'evolve'. I get loopy. In order to avoid going to prison in California for helping a girl group rob a bank I took a gig in Japan. Steps bands were a thing...
isn't that Hammertone's sofa? it makes the guitar look even better somehow though he hasn't positioned it correctly
It’s almost like it’s not actually ‘theory’ at all, but practical information for making music Yeah to give a simple example, if you run the “bop scale” down from the root of dominant to the...

Actually the thing that is surprising to me is most of the time the dim chords are spelled helpfully in charts to make this work. So, we can go C^7 C#o7 D-7 D#o7 E-7 to C^7 A7b9 D-7 B7b9 E-7...

yea let’s start going down this road :victorious::smile-new:
It becomes a dominant 7b9 which is still a dominant to me (and to Joe Pass, if I recall one of his videos correctly.)
What tempos you guys reckon to use 6th/dim for? I'm thinking for sure obviously ballads, and I'm thinking apply it to medium but thin it out a bit as the tempo increases, and just not use it for up.
And the judges come back with a 9.6 on that mental backflip.
