OK - I laid down a more traditional take this morning. I've been recording with my TASCAM DR40x digital recorder into my DAI, and I've liked it a lot. But after Jim Soloway's current thread on recording direct through the ART preamp that I suggested he try, I pulled mine out and went back to it instead of the preamp in the TASCAM. And I like the tone more. This is my Eastman 810CE7 with floating KA into the ART into the ADC:

I'm going to post this track in Jim's thread too. No matter what recording rigs I've tried, I've always come back to the ART since I bought it in 1995.

It's long, it's boring, it's weird, and it's in Bb. And I like it :-)

Anybody who sticks it out to the end can have a free tutorial!

I stuck it out to the end, and no guitarist was harmed. I even enjoyed the experience. But I’d like to donate my free tutorial to my favorite charity: Citizens Against Distortion. Maybe some jazz education will trim the fuzz

Outstanding. Well, that's 7.19 minutes of your life you'll never get back again :-)
