My experience is that most Boogie amps have fans. I am a big Boogie fan and so I am use to using a fan. Compared to the volume of the amp, I never really hear the fan.
Theory #2 imo, though that's the first Epi I've seen w a black heel stinger. Blue lined case, control knobs, mini PAFs and the aforementioned lack of binding issues support that theory though good...
It appears to me to be an early production Gibson/Epiphone. The neck and maybe body appear to me to be leftover NY Epi parts, although the neck fingerboard extension has the distinctive Gibson...
I've had tube amps with and without fans... in general, I like the added durability(?) a fan can add... even tho it also adds weight. Given a choice, all my combos would have fans, but they would...
My Mesa Blue Angel came with a fan. Although that is the only amp I have with a fan.

@Ol’ Fret stated “It is clear to me that nowadays not many people, not even in Germany, are likely to know what these conditions actually looked like.” I find this interesting. Didn’t Rodebald...
Pretty, but can't compete in the JOY dept. with the Stern's video! I don't even listen to Stern (I'm not much of a bebop fan), but I watch every interview I can find, I love that guy, his demeanor...
Here is a clip for a show with three jazz bands in the year 1937 at the Haag in the Netherlands. First up are “The Giggers”. Looks like the guitarist may be playing a Gibson archtop. Second is...
I’ve always found 1) very hard to lock in rhythmically. Thanks for reminding me to practice that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
