Playing and discussing Ellington and Strayhorn on British radio

This is a radio broadcast, Uptown Lockdown, that I performed and was interviewed on by old friend clarinetist-arranger Frank Griffith and a bloke named Anthony. It was under the aegis of the Liverpool Duke Ellington Society. This was 3 years ago, at the pandemic's peak, hence the word 'lockdown' in the title.
There are performances and occasional analyses of tunes by maestroes Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, including All Too Soon; Daydream; Sophisticated Lady and concluding with Tizol's Caravan.


I thought it went pretty well, though I'm always finding fault with my playing when I hear it. This wasn't bad though, and it was an honor to be asked to acknowledge these 2 masters by performing their works.
