I posted a couple instrumental versions of this song on a thread about instrumental pop /rock songs and was surprised at just how many covers there were of this tune by jazz (and jazzy) players.
Here are is sampling. (Many others out there.) Plus the original, with lyrics, for those who don't know it. (Huge hit back in '67)

I suspect Joe Pass' version may be the best-known among fans of jazz guitar. I'm not as wild about it but it certainly belongs here.
Clint Strong did it recently (live, anyway) and I prefer that groove. Clint is a big Howard Roberts fan and I think his approach is akin to Howard's.
But it just goes to show this tune---really, a 24-bar blues---is pretty elastic.
